Codema attends GEMINI partner meeting in Dublin

From the 19th – 20th October, 2026, partners from the PEACEPLUS GEMINI project met in DIAS’s offices in Dublin, for the project’s biannual in-person partner meeting. The GEMINI project seeks to advance geothermal energy adoption throughout Ireland. Featuring demonstration sites, GEMINI highlights diverse applications of geothermal technology across various sectors.

Purpose of the activity

Last week Codema, Dublin’s Energy Agency attended the GEMINI project’s biannual in-person partner meeting in Dublin, hosted by one of the project partners, The Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (DIAS). We were joined by representatives from the project’s partnership, bringing together partners from across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

The two half-days included discussion of:

  • Work package status updates, challenges and lessons learned
  • Implementation progress of demonstration sites
  • Fascinating poster presentations by six academic partners
  • Community engagement
  • Communications overview and next steps
  • Data Management Plan
  • Deliverables workshop

Codema’s role in this activity

Codema attended as the lead partner of the GEMINI project, shaping the agenda for the two half-days and helping to facilitate.

It was a valuable opportunity for the partnership to review where the project is now, share learnings and discuss the next stages of the project.

The GEMINI deliverables workshop in progress, with the partnership split up into groups by Work Package.
