Launch of Better Retrofits, Together at SEAI regional Sustainable Energy Communities event

Codema were proud to launch Better Retrofits, Together in partnership with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), as part of SEAI’s Sustainable Energy Communities (SEC) Regional Connects Series event on Saturday 3rd October 2026 at the Guinness Enterprise Centre.

The launch event

Organised by SEAI, the Sustainable Energy Communities regional event brought SECs in the Dublin and Mid-East Region together for networking, collaboration, sharing experiences and building practical skills for local energy projects.

The day’s programme included networking opportunities, stories and learnings shared by SECs, as well as targeted breakout sessions, including a session for communities signed up to the Better Retrofits, Together service. In this session, Codema and the SEAI’s Regional Coordinators and mentors officially celebrated the beginning of Better Retrofits, Together, answered questions and presented communities with the Better Retrofits, Together community marketing toolkit.

More about Better Retrofits, Together

Better Retrofits, Together is delivered under the Citizen-Led Renovation (CLR3) EU project by Codema, Dublin’s Energy Agency in partnership with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) and Sustainable Energy Communities.

Better Retrofits, Together is the pilot of a brand-new community-led service helping neighbours navigate home energy upgrades together, from first expression of interest right through to signing with a SEAI-registered contractor. It uses the buying club method to aggregate demand for home energy upgrades, with an integral step of the process being the running of free community workshops to help householders understand which energy upgrades are right for their home and the grants and financial pathways available.
