Culture Night walking tour success!

For this year’s Culture Night on Friday the 18th of September, Codema, in collaboration with the Ringsend and District Historical Society, hosted a walking tour around Ringsend. 

Culture Night visitors were invited to explore Ringsend on a guided walking tour around the area, focusing on local stories, community and the changing role of energy and industry in the area. 

We began the tour in the Ringsend and Irishtown Community Centre (RICC), where visitors enjoyed some refreshments, before making our way along Pidgeon House road and towards the Glass Bottle site. 

Along the route, the tour explored themes of industrial development and the ways in which energy and industry have shaped the area, highlighting both the challenges and opportunities that these changes brought to the local community.
