Codema supports signing of Energy Performance Contract by Kildare County Council
We were delighted to support Kildare County Council in signing an Energy Performance Contract for the upgrade of three of its buildings.
Supported by Codema, Kildare County Council (KCC) has signed a contract appointing Lawler Sustainability as the Energy Services Company to deliver an Energy Performance Contract (EPC) for the energy efficiency and decarbonisation upgrades of three buildings: KCC’s headquarters Áras Chill Dara and two of its leisure centres, K Leisure Athy and K Leisure Naas.
The contract will involve significant decarbonisation works and optimisation of energy usage for the three buildings identified as having the highest energy consumption in the Kildare County Council portfolio. Lawler Sustainability will implement energy-saving upgrades that will guarantee energy reduction over an eight-year service period.
This contract signing was supported by Codema as part of the DeliveREE EU project, which includes a pipeline of EPC projects in Dublin Local Authority buildings.
Within the DeliveREE project, Codema developed a Project Implementation Unit, which uses a structured, standardised approach to accelerate and aggregate projects. This enables the use of Energy Performance and Energy Supply Contracts, which involve performance guarantees that are critical for achieving value for money, transferring risk and providing a mechanism for the involvement of private capital.
