Launch of the 5Cube & the Dublin City Energy Fair

As part of the Ace project, Dublin City Council & Codema launched the 5Cube at Hanover Quay in Dublin's Docklands on Friday, 19th June . The 5Cube was designed by architect Declan Scullion and represents how much oil Ireland is consuming every 5 minutes. To coincide with the 5Cube launch, Codema also hosted the Dublin City Energy Fair in Civic Offices on the same day. The event was a celebration of sustainable and renewable energy and featured a whole host of interactive stands, including a lighting display, the energy bike challenge, e-car test drives and much, much more...
Renewable Energy Lego Workshop in Coolock Library

As part of Codema's involvement in the Ace project, we teamed up with LearnIt Ireland to deliver a series of renewable energy lego workshops in Dublin City Public Library branches. Nick Sheridan from RTE's News2Day came out to the Coolock workshop to see what it was all about and how the children were being engaged about the benefits of renewable energy in the most fun way possible - through Lego!
What is Energy Performance Contracting?

Dublin City Council and Codema (Dublin's Energy Agency) are currently planning energy upgrades in three leisure centres by way of an Energy Performance Contract (EPC). This video was produced as part of EESI2020 project, co-funded under the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme, which looks at the increased uptake of EPC across Europe. Think Energy Awareness Days

Codema organised the Think Energy Awareness Days as part of the energy awareness campaign for Dublin City Council. The event was held in the Civic Offices on 25th & 26th June 2014 and included a bicycle challenge, a competition to win a water butt, an energy game, expert advise on insulation and lighting as well as a test drive in the electric car.
