Codema a Finalist at this year’s ESG Awards

28th March, 2023

We're delighted to announce that we've been shortlisted for yet another award for our approach to creating an innovative work environment for our team. This time we've been nominated in the Employee Experience category for this year's ESG Business and Finance Awards. This nomination also follows on from our recent shortlisting at the Workplace Excellence Awards, in the Flexible and Hybrid Working category.

We're thrilled to receive this recognition of our flexible working arrangements, as we always like to stay one step ahead of the curve in facilitating a work-life balance for our team.

In February 2022, we went one step further to improve our employees’ wellbeing by being one of just 12 companies in Ireland to participate in a global 4-day week (4DW) trial. Due to the many benefits this has had on our team over the last year, we have decided to stick with the 4DW indefinitely, with regular monitoring and evaluation.

Promoting and fostering a healthy work-life balance has always been at the heart of Codema’s core values and participating in the 4DW programme has not only been beneficial for our staff but also for our company. Giving staff more time to invest in personal interests, develop new hobbies and spend more time with their families have all helped to improve wellbeing and job satisfaction, which, in turn, has resulted in a more efficient and motivated team.

We have been offering flexible/hybrid working for over 20 years, long before Covid came along and changed our way of working. Being an early adapter and a market leader has established Codema as a progressive, forward-thinking business that stands out from the rest. As a small, not-for-profit company that truly values its employees, we hope to inspire other organisations with our innovative working practices and we're delighted to see this acknowledged through this award nomination.

The Business & Finance ESG Awards take place on 20th April and we'll be crossing our fingers until then. Best of luck to all involved!
