Dublin City Energy Fair takes place on Friday, 19th June

17th June, 2015

To celebrate the launch of the 5Cube, Dublin City Council and Codema will host the Dublin City Energy Fair in Civic Offices on Friday, 19th June from 10am – 3pm.

The Dublin City Energy Fair will feature a range of interactive displays to promote the importance of renewable and sustainable energy in the lives of citizens across Dublin.

The event will include everything from electric bike test drives, a 3D sustainable house, an interactive lighting display and a preview of Ireland’s first home energy saving kit, which will soon be available in a selection of Dublin City library branches.

There will be great competitions and giveaways on the day and even a demonstration of the power of renewable energy through Lego!

You will also be able to take a test drive of a Nissan Leaf down to the 5Cube at Hanover Quay. However, places are limited for this so if you want to book a slot, please click here to register!

The 5Cube is a renewable energy design feature which represents how much oil Ireland is consuming every five minutes.  It is the first installation of its kind to get citizens thinking about our dependency on fossil fuels and to consider renewable sources such as wind and solar.

Dublin City Council and Codema are running the Energy Fair as part of their involvement in the Ace project, which is funded by the INTERREG IVB NWE programme
