Codema shortlisted for Sustainability Team of the Year
25th February, 2016
We are delighted to announce that Codema has been shortlisted for Sustainability Team of the Year for the Green Awards 2016.
Our small yet dedicated team of 10 staff had a very busy and successful 2015 working on behalf of the Dublin local authorities to address key environmental challenges by adopting innovative and new approaches throughout the year.
In the area of energy policy and planning,Codema produced the first Spatial Energy Demand Analyses in Ireland which have made an important breakthrough in linking spatial planning with energy planning and providing local authorities with real opportunities to save energy and tackle climate change.
Combing our project management, technical and communication skills, Codema advocated Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) as the way forward for retrofitting of public buildings, producing Ireland’s first local authority EPC project for three public leisure centres in Dublin city.
During 2015, the team also rolled out a fully-fledged energy awareness programme which included the organisation of the Dublin City Energy Fair and developing Ireland’s first Home Energy Saving Kits which will become available for the public to borrow from selected library branches across Dublin city from next month.
We are thrilled with our nomination at this year's Green Awards and we will have our fingers crossed at the awards ceremony on the 14th April!
