Communities in Urban Areas in Europe’
A number of cities in Europe have implemented holistic sustainable projects in order to transform city districts. However, the projects have mostly ended as isolated cases not putting any stamps on the prevalent ways of working. The aim of the SECURE project was to mainstream the ways of working in the demonstration projects from being unique actions to becoming the normal way of working.
A structured benchmarking was made between different urban sustainable energy projects in order to gain knowledge on different important success factors. Action plans on Energy were produced in co-operation with different stakeholders in the cities. Codema were leaders of work package 2, titled ‘Malmö, Tallinn, Dublin, Hilleröd sustainable energy partnerships and energy action plans’.
